WHO YOU WIT?!? Thugga or Weezy? The line in the sand has been drawn forcing fans to choose a side. It’s been a lot of back and forth between Young Thug and Wayne. It seems like it started back in September 2014 when fans were still waiting for the Carter V, Young Thug revealed his own plans for the “Carter” series saying “I don’t know if he’s gonna name one of them Carter VI. It depends on what he names his album. Carter VI to X, he did one to five, I’m gonna do six to 10.”
In January Thugga took to instagram and took shots at Wayne saying, “If you ain’t at LIV nigga, you ain’t living. We going to LIV. Whoever don’t like it pull up, fuck nigga.” Lil Wayne responded on Twitter and announced that he would be having his own party in Miami, also taking time to to take a few jabs at the club Young Thug and Birdman would be partying at.
Lil Wayne’s daughter, Reginae Carter even got involved tweeting, “Is he trying to be funny with this “Carter 6?” Cause it’s pretty childish to me. Try again if you’re even trying to get on my father’s level.” Thugga didn’t back down he then released the artwork for the Carter 6 and announcing it’s April 16th release date.
After more than a year, Wayne finally called out Young Thug. While performing Weezy said, “Before I go any further, I want y’all to do me a favor. Stop listening to songs of nigga who pose naked on their motherfuckin album covers.” Soon after Weezy’s jab, Thugga took to instagram to reveal that he didn’t want any problems and that Wayne was his idol. “I understand that Wayne is frustrated by his career and I feel him on that, but this is my idol. I would never swap words with him of beef with him about nothing. This is a person that I look up to. Ha Ha.”
Fast forward to April 14th Young Thug announced that his project was still coming, but because he was threatened by a lawsuit he had to re-name it “Barter 6” (Blood gang members use b’s instead of c’s. Both Young Thug and Lil Wayne are reportedly blood gang members). Thugga took to instagram saying, “can’t name the mixtape “Carter 6” because these fuck ass niggas trying to sue just like some hoes. Big ol’ blood…so “Barter 6” on the fucking way.” Lil Wayne’s artist Flow took exception to Young Thug’s Instagram post, tweeting out, “I ain’t from Holly Grove, but Ill do this one fa da Boss man.” Telling Young Thug, “stay n yo place lil Homie..FUk dis Rap shit..I’m with (the shits) on Piru. u Ah Faggot ass Bloos who yo Big Homie? 662% #YM.”
Thugga’s Barter 6′ project only moved a disappointing 19,000 units in its first week. Recently while performing in Baton Rouge, Young Thug was heckled by a few concertgoers who could be heard booing and shouting, “We don’t fuck with you.” Thugger didn’t let it phase him saying back to the crowd, “I still love you.” So like I said in the beginning…WHO YOU WIT?!?
