It’s Time to face the music. Over the past two years Love and Hip-Hop star Mendeecees Harris has been in trouble with the Feds. After serving time while his fiancée, Yandy Smith, was filming episodes for L&HH Yandy came up with that $600,000 and paid her man’s bond. Sadly, it seems Mendeecees may be headed back to prison, as the reality star just pled guilty in court to drug trafficking. The guilty plea comes just weeks before his May 25th televised wedding special on VH1.
Mendeecees and his co-defendant brother Tyrus, are accused of shipping $2.5 million worth of heroin and cocaine to upstate New York between 2005 and 2012. While entering his guilty plea, the 35 year old father of three admitted he was wrong. By pleading guilty, Mendeecees will not have to serve a mandatory 20 year sentence that if convicted he would have faced if he chose to take the case to trial. Harris now faces 8 to 10 years in federal prison and a fine ranging from $15,000 to $5 million.
Mendeecees will also have to forfeit all of the money he’s made from L&HH; including club appearances fees, totaling $103,000. Tyrus was sentenced to five years in federal prison after he also pled guilty last June. Mendeecees remains free until his August 31th sentencing. So all you L&HH heads don’t be sad, the wedding is still going down on May 25th at 8 p.m. on VH1.
